26/11/2024 - ASEAN in the 21st Century: From Regional Alliance to Global Stakeholder
What is the role of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the current geopolitical tension? What options does the European Union have in cooperation with ASEAN countries? We discussed this and more in a public debate for more than 30 students, organised by the Department of Asian Studies on November 26, 2024.
The debate featured speeches by Ambassador Eduardo Martin Menez of the Philippines, Martin Petlach, Head of the Department of Area Studies at Mendel University, and Ales Karmazin, Assistant Professor at the Department of Asian Studies at MUP.
