24th International Colloquium of American Studies & Biennial Conference of the Czech and Slovak Association for American Studies took place at University of Ostrava!

Attended by colleagues from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the US, it created a needed platform to discuss topics relating the Perspectives on Ethnicity and the Environment, as well as to pay tribute to the late Professor Josef Jařab. Metropolitan University Prague Has a New Partner University in Japan!

Starting from the winter semester of this year, MUP students will have one more Japanese destination to choose from. A new student exchange agreement has been added to the six existing partnerships between MUP and Meio University in Okinawa, Japan. The agreement was officially signed in Prague by Meio University President, Prof. Masanori Sunagawa, and MUP Rector, Prof. Michal Klíma.
Exceptional achievement of Metropolitan University Prague, three of our GACR projects succeeded

Every year, a number of academics at Metropolitan University Prague submit their projects for support from the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GACR) and we regularly meet with success. However, three successful projects in one year is an exceptional achievement, for which we congratulate especially the successful applicants, i.e. Šárka Kolmašová, Lukáš Tichý and Aleš Karmazin.
