JUST, Petr. Pod Tatrou sa blýska: strany, vlády a koalice na Slovensku v letech 2006 až 2016
1st ed. Prague: Metropolitan University Prague Press and Libri, 2018. ISBN 978-80-87956-78-6
The publication attempts to capture the fundamental changes of the Slovak political scene in two related dimensions: the party system and the functioning of governments and coalitions. Of the four elections included in the time frame from 2006 to 2016, five governments emerged: four immediately after the elections and one in between the elections following changes in the cabinet party structure. Only one of the post-election situations (2012) allowed the establishment of a single-party majority government, the remaining three elections always led to the establishment of coalition governments. All coalition governments were formed on the principle of a minimal winning coalition. In either case, no surplus member was present, nor did the government in the first instance enter the office in the minority status. All coalition governments remained as the minimal winning coalitions throughout their entire term of office.
